COLLECTION
8th COLLECTION / 2025
The tie has a slightly slender silhouette.
This tie is made from Anda-gumi, a type of braided belt made more than 1,000 years ago, many of which are still extant in the Shosoin Repository in Nara. The tie is made with a braided cord using the ‘mashidama’ technique, which gradually increases the number of threads while braiding, to create a tie shape that widens towards the ends. The braided cord tie may feel a little stiff at first, but after being worn two or three times, it becomes much softer and much easier to fasten.
Size: Length 1480 mm – 1520 mm, Maximum width 60 mm,
Material: 100% silk
